2 years of CIVICA
CIVICA celebrates two years of positive impact in European higher education

This October we celebrated two years since the start of activities, following the selection of our alliance among the pilot European Universities by the European Commission. Since then, a growing number of students and (post)doctoral researchers have been able to benefit from our newly launched programmes and offers.

CIVICA Ambassadors 21/22
Introducing the CIVICA Ambassadors 2021/22

From undergraduate to postdoc level, the CIVICA Ambassadors represent each university in our alliance. Their role is to promote interaction and exchange within the alliance's communities, and be a first point of contact to CIVICA for their peers. Building on the successes of the previous cohort, the 21/22 Ambassadors will actively shape student involvement in CIVICA.

Michelle Graabek, EUIPhDs and postdocs reap the benefit of CIVICA’s online course catalogue
The online Catalogue, launched in January 2021, allows (post)doctoral researchers to attend courses at other CIVICA universities, sometimes simultaneously, without having to travel or leave home. Since the launch, around 290 students have participated in more than 168 partner courses. Read>>

CIVICA Research offers postdoctoral researchers from across the alliance the opportunity to visit another member institution to further their research career, exchange knowledge and build collaborations. Read>>
CIVICA high school activitiesCIVICA high school activities help young learners imagine futures
Implemented by the civic engagement work package, the activities are designed to illustrate the possibilities that higher education can yield, specifically connecting with high school students who have refugee backgrounds or socioeconomic challenges. Read>>
